Saccade privacy

Sky Wolf Studio (SWS Strategic Media LLC). Last updated October 23, 2026.

The short version

Saccade runs on your device. It has no account, no ads, no analytics and no subscription. The text you read and the way you like it set up stay in your browser or in the app on your phone. The one thing that ever leaves your device is a request for a free book, when you ask for one.

What the app stores

Your settings (speed, words per flash, pauses, font, size, colours), the text you last loaded and where you were in it. All of it lives in this browser's own local storage under keys that begin with saccade. Clearing the site's data, or uninstalling the app, deletes all of it. There is no copy anywhere else.

What leaves your device

Nothing while you read. Pasted text is never sent anywhere.

The Library is the one feature that uses the network, and only when you use it:

The books themselves are public domain and free. The opening passages built into the Library never touch the network.

What the app does not do

Sharing text into the app

On a phone where Saccade is installed, you can share a page or a selection into it from another app. The shared text is placed in the Text box on your device. It is not uploaded.

Children

Saccade is a reading tool suitable for any age. It collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Any new behaviour that would send data off your device will be described here before it ships.
